Channel3 for BigCommerce — Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install and connect the Channel3 app to your BigCommerce store.
Prerequisites
- An active BigCommerce store with admin access
- A Channel3 account — if you don't have one yet, sign up at trychannel3.com
Step 1: Enable the Data Layer
The data layer allows Channel3 to read product and event information from your storefront. To enable it:
- Log in to your BigCommerce admin panel.
- Navigate to Settings → Advanced (Data Solutions).
- Click Show advanced settings.
- Toggle Turn on the data layer to enabled.
- Save your changes.
Step 2: Install the Channel3 App
- In your BigCommerce admin, go to Apps → App Marketplace.
- Search for Channel3.
- Click Install and follow the prompts to authorize the app.
- After installation completes, a store code will be displayed. Copy this code — you will need it in the next step.
Step 3: Connect Your Store in Channel3
- Log in to your Channel3 dashboard.
- Navigate to the Connections section from the sidebar.
- Click Add Integration and select BigCommerce.
- Paste the store code you copied in the previous step and click Connect Store.
Step 4: Verify the Connection
Once connected, Channel3 will begin syncing your product catalog. You can verify the connection by:
- Checking that BigCommerce appears as a connected integration in the Connections section of your Channel3 dashboard.
- Viewing your products in the Products tab — products should begin appearing within a few minutes.
Uninstalling
To disconnect Channel3 from your BigCommerce store:
- In your Channel3 dashboard, go to the Connections section and disconnect the BigCommerce integration.
- In your BigCommerce admin, go to Apps → My Apps, find Channel3, and click Uninstall.
