Channel3 for BigCommerce — Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install and connect the Channel3 app to your BigCommerce store.

Prerequisites

  • An active BigCommerce store with admin access
  • A Channel3 account — if you don't have one yet, sign up at trychannel3.com

Step 1: Enable the Data Layer

The data layer allows Channel3 to read product and event information from your storefront. To enable it:

  1. Log in to your BigCommerce admin panel.
  2. Navigate to Settings Advanced (Data Solutions).
  3. Click Show advanced settings.
  4. Toggle Turn on the data layer to enabled.
  5. Save your changes.

Step 2: Install the Channel3 App

  1. In your BigCommerce admin, go to Apps App Marketplace.
  2. Search for Channel3.
  3. Click Install and follow the prompts to authorize the app.
  4. After installation completes, a store code will be displayed. Copy this code — you will need it in the next step.

Step 3: Connect Your Store in Channel3

  1. Log in to your Channel3 dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Connections section from the sidebar.
  3. Click Add Integration and select BigCommerce.
  4. Paste the store code you copied in the previous step and click Connect Store.

Step 4: Verify the Connection

Once connected, Channel3 will begin syncing your product catalog. You can verify the connection by:

  • Checking that BigCommerce appears as a connected integration in the Connections section of your Channel3 dashboard.
  • Viewing your products in the Products tab — products should begin appearing within a few minutes.

Uninstalling

To disconnect Channel3 from your BigCommerce store:

  1. In your Channel3 dashboard, go to the Connections section and disconnect the BigCommerce integration.
  2. In your BigCommerce admin, go to Apps My Apps, find Channel3, and click Uninstall.
